Carbon Adsorption Systems

With the acquisition of RaySolv Inc. in 1999, CSM began offering carbon adsorption systems, solvent recovery systems, and VOC concentrators. Today, we offer a choice of high-performance carbon adsorption systems to satisfy your specific hydrocarbon and/or solvent recovery needs.

For capturing and recovering select hydrocarbons and solvents for re-use in the manufacturing process, CSM's ADSOLV™ solvent recovery systems have proved an easy fit with today's complex manufacturing, printing and production systems. The key is a tried-and-true combination of activated carbon adsorption and direct steam desorption for recovery of both hydrocarbon and solvents. ADSOLV™ benefits, substantiated by the guaranteed quality and performance they have delivered in over 100 installations worldwide, include:

  • Recovery efficiency greater than 99% for both hydrocarbons and solvents.

Alternatively, when hydrocarbon recovery is not needed, CSM's RAYSORB(tm) systems provide ultra-efficient solvent recovery, combining activated carbon adsorption with heated nitrogen and a dry regeneration method to desorb and recover solvents via efficiently. Nitrogen is available via a unique, closed-loop recirculation process. In addition, we design our RAYSORB(tm) systems for energy efficiency using a heat accumulator, a heat pump and heat storage between regeneration cycles. RAYSORB(tm) benefits also include:
