Vapor-Phase Activated Carbon Adsorption Systems With the acquisition of RaySolv Inc. in 1999, CSM began offering vapor-phase activated carbon adsorption system technology for the recovery of solvents, the control of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP) from manufacturing process exhaust air streams. Based on our combined experience with this technology of more than 50 years and proven performance with hundreds of installations worldwide, today, we can offer you a choice of the highest performance, most advanced state-of-the-art vapor phase carbon adsorption systems to suit your company’s specific requirements. Vapor-Phase Carbon Adsorption Systems achieve overall environmental objectives with a reduced carbon foot print compared to oxidation technologies, which produce CO2 green-house emissions as a product of combustion. CSM’s Adsorption Systems remove solvents from air streams and recover them instead of oxidizing them. CSM’s ADSOLV™ System ADSOLV™ Systems utilize the most advanced, tried-and-true combination of activated carbon adsorption to capture solvent, VOC and/or HAP vapors from manufacturing process air emissions, then recover them from the activated carbon by direct steam desorption. The recovered solvents are separated from the process steam condensate and may be re-used directly in the manufacturing process, generating substantial savings. For many ADSOLV™ applications, the value of the recovered solvent can provide a return on capital investment in less than one year. Some of the ADSOLV™ System advantages include: · Solvent Recovery efficiency greater than 99% can be achieved. · Low operating costs. · Broad applicability. · PLC-based, fully automatic control systems with HMI interface. · Good return on investment, quick payback periods. CSM's RAYSORBTM System CSM's RAYSORBTM Systems provide ultra-efficient solvent recovery for water soluble solvents, by combining activated carbon adsorption with a closed-loop hot inert gas dry regeneration method. Heated inert gas is circulated to desorb the solvents from the activated carbon, then the solvent laden inert gas is cooled to condense and recover dry water soluble solvents, without generating any process waste water. A proprietary desiccant system in the loop prevents water condensation and a small quantity of Nitrogen purge is used to inert the process prior to regeneration. Our RAYSORBTM Systems are also highly energy-efficient by the utilization of a closed-loop heat recovery system with a combination of a heat pump thermo-cycle and static heat storage between regeneration cycles. RAYSORBTM benefits also include: · Solvent recovery efficiency greater than 99% can be achieved. · Low operating costs. · Recovers dry solvent with less than 0.1-0.5 % water content. · No processing and generation of any waste water. · High energy efficiency · Long operating life · No corrosion, thanks to our dry regeneration method
